Negative Marks on Credit Score and Immigration...

Anyone know if a person had to make payments on a billing due to it being too expensive and they wanted to immigrate, would this prevent a person from being able to immigrate?

Sponsorship of an Immigrant...

What does the sponsorship of someone who wants to move to the USA involve?  Does it absolutely have to be an Employer or a Relative or a Fiance?  Can it simply be a friend?

Immigration Assistance

I have a good friend who lives in the UK and is interested in immigrating to the United States; however is concerned about medical history and whether or not the US will allow him to stay.

I reviewed the website, tried to find criteria that would match his situation and am confused.

This friend is Bi-Polar, and lives in a rather rough part of town. His life has been far from easy and it is affecting him every day in very profound ways.

Does anyone know of a way that a person from another country can immigrate without having any citizenship ties, building a business, or some brilliant scientist, or being engaged to marry someone that is a citizen of said country?

Additionally, what is the government looking for with applicants? Are minor offenses like carrying a knife, or getting into a couple scuffles. The last incident on his record was from 2003.

Or, are there some countries easier to immigrate to than others? I know the US is particularly picky these days, as I understand it. Or are there any loopholes?

any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
